Excerpt: 1. WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION/DEVELOPMENT The Sub-regional workshop on ?Improving the Quality and Safety of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables: A Practical Approach?, was organized by FAO/ESNS in collaboration with the Sub- Regional Office for the Caribbean (SLAC). The workshop targeted the Caribbean English speaking countries (Antigua & Bermuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, ). It was held at the Rockley Golf Hotel in Bridgetown, Barbados, from 24- 28 of May 2004, and attended by thirty one (31) participants financially supported by FAO, as follows: 23 international participants (2/country, one from Guyana) and eight participants from Barbados.
