The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORSOD (NAR) appreciates the opportunity to provide comments to the Federal Trade Commission on the proposed criteria for determining the primary purpose of an e-mail message as addressed in the Controlling the Assault of Non- Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003 (CAN SPAM Act). NAR represents approximately 1,0007000 real estate professionals engaged in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate business, as well as some 1500 state and local associations of REALTORSOD. Both NAR and its members have a significant interest in the outcome of this proposed rulemaking.
