Philosophy as a category is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument. The word "philosophy" comes from the Greek philosophia, which literally means "love of wisdom".
THE period covered by the inception, the publication, and the completion of the Sacred Books of the East exactly coincides with the thirty-four years that I have spent in Oxford. When I matriculated, Professor Max Muller, the editor of the series, was about to begin work on the first volume, which appeared while I was still an undergraduate. I lost no time in making his acquaintance, for it was the influence of one of his works that had stimulated me to begin under Pro...
Habeltt sua lata libelli-not only after they have been published, but sometimes even before they are printed. It was in the spring of 1894 that the late Professor Max Muller first suggested to me that I should compile a General Index of the names and subject-matter for the complete series of the Sacred Books of the East. Such an Index, he thought, would be a great help to all students of the Sacred Books of tile East, and of the greatest value for the study of the history of religions.
Due to the success of my Watermelon Credo Post, I created this book. Each letter in the word WATERMELON is a chapter. The W in Watermelon stands for: Whatever you believe creates your reality. And this book is a perfect example. What began as a wall poster is now a book. In his latest and happiest work yet, Wally Amos spells out in heart-warming, well-chosen words how to fill your life with inspiration and fun. Renowned as a cookie man and motivational speaker, Wally draw...
This is the first of two distinct, but interrelated books which seeks to offer an alternative evolutionary scenario to our current standard Neo-Darwinian model by way of a scientifically-guided thought experiment. Book One is based upon the accumulative research spanning the past 200 years of a diverse range of highly respected scientists who have offered distinctively different pieces of the evolutionary puzzle and these are assessed in the light of our most current und...
Professor Denis Noble (Professor Emeritus and Co-Director of Computational Physiology) sums up the situation quite succinctly in the following:
PHYSIOLOGY IS ROCKING THE FOUNDATIONS OF BIOLOGY
In this article, I will show that all the central assumptions of the Modern Synthesis (often also called Neo-Darwinism) have been disproved. Moreover, they have been disproved in ways that raise the tantalizing prospect of a totally new synthesis;...

The book presents the author’s ideas about the structure of world creation. It
is the attempt to combine religious and scientific knowledge.
The mechanism of genesis and development of the matter is under consideration;
it is viewed as a circle of energy and information transformation. The model
of the world creation and the cycle of Universe existence based on the Set Theory are presented in the article. Proof by contradiction is used for grounding artificial genesis of the matter.
The paper addresses questions I have been asked about international integrated development and creation of the World Prize. It does this by taking multiple approaches, namely: describing integrated development and integrated thinking; presenting some relevant aspects of history from international development and the great traditions; postulating an evolution from technological to integrated approaches in development; summarizing a personal realization of the essentialnes...
Luck comes in many forms, but the highest form of luck seems to be obscured by other material luck.
you ARE lucky.
This amazing information and precious gift have been bestowed on me from my leading SPIRITUAL Teacher of SUPREME MIND
This book is a set of contemplations designed to create a different and more universal philosophy by which modern man can live a deeply meaningful life.

This book is an introspective look at the influence war, love and religion has on man.
I have come to believe: what it is to be a man is not something rigid. Every generation has its war and every thousand has its God. For every new generation, babies are born from union and raised in every variation. The boy becomes man by culture, tradition, religion or war. Some men become so by choice and some do not live to become men at all. These men may grow and progress through life yet find themselves trapped in the shadows listlessly searching for something they cannot even name.
Following on from ‘Confessions of a Serial Meditator’, the trials of living with a new girlfriend, her pre-teen daughters, and her dying mother, pose the stiffest test any Vipassana yogi and wannabe Buddha could ever hope to face.
When the equanimity slips, where do you run to? Who will come to help? Would modern-day asceticism be ‘the way’ (out)? What adventures could possibly await an aspiring Buddha with itchy feet and a desire to ‘keep ‘em laughing’?
The battle within continues…
One Man. Ten days. No talking.
One Centre. 102 meditators. No eye-contact.
One Course. 105 hours of meditation. No gestures.
One Law. One Truth. One Universe.
This story isn't about me, it's about you. It may read as if it's about me, but if you've ever sought the Truth, then it's about you too.
Surrender; it's the only way to win the war, the one being fought within, deep down in the trenches of your mind. Wherever that may be . . .
Opinions are like flare, which can turn either way: they can spread like wild fire or encapsulate themselves within the bounds of personal integrity, and thus illuminate. I started writing opinions in the late 2008 through my blogs. I admit at times I did go wild with unsubstantiated accusations and surmises, leading to risky speculations and irresponsible opinions. Recently, I published a comprehensive book of my writings entitled "Writings @ Ankur Mutreja", and the pre...
What is Philosophy? Is it the exclusive domain of those who dream in abstract? Or is it the manifestation of the struggle of those who practice in material? Does it originate in the minds of professors like a Ganges flowing out from the hair-locks of "Lord" Shiva? Or is it rustic and puerile, evolving into maturity through the experiences of common men. I started writing philosophy without actually knowing that I was writing one. To start with, it was an outlet to projec...
The book is mostly in a running dialogue form, which is always a prerequisite of a quest-full ‘journey’
The more i learn, more i become aware of my ignorance
Awareness of ignorance is wisdom
Bu kitapta, son on yılın toplumsal olaylarının ve günlük bayağılıklarının
çalkantısı içinde yitip gitmekte olan insanımıza, Marksizm’in teorik postulatlarını
hatırlatarak, sosyalizmin günümüzde de, insanlığın kurtuluşunun
tek seçeneği olduğunu göstermeye çalıştık.
